Indonesian all-female heavy metal band Voice Of Baceprot are set to perform at the home of Formula 1 night racing. The hijab-wearing rockers made history in June this year by becoming the first band from their country to play at the legendary Glastonbury Festival to plaudits and fanfare. Known for their gutsiness and non-conformism, the band’s addresses issues such as gender inequality and climate change in their music. Their 2021 English single God, Allow Me (Please) To Make Music has been viewed more than five million times on YouTube and chalked up more than 1.2 million streams on Spotify. The trailblazing band, who have been listed in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia Class of 2024’s entertainment and sports field, is made up of members Firda Marsya Kurnia, Widi Rahmawati, and Euis Siti Aisyah.
