15th edition of the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix draws a record turnout since track update
22 September 2024, Singapore – The Marina Bay Street Circuit welcomed a sold-out crowd of 269,072 fans to the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2024 over the race weekend. This year’s attendance is the highest since the circuit was updated last year, due to the redevelopment of the Bay Grandstand.
Two days of stunning track action have seen Lando Norris claim his first Singapore pole and the team’s third, while defending champion Max Verstappen’s Red Bull will start the race alongside him. Mercedes duo Lewis Hamilton and George Russell start on the second row, with Haas’s veteran Nico Hülkenberg producing a stunning lap to claim sixth spot. Could tonight’s 15th edition give a full house a seventh different Singapore winner?
In addition to the high-octane track action over the last two days, tens of thousands of fans also attended the concerts by OneRepublic, Kylie Minogue, Disclosure (DJ), Thirty Seconds to Mars, The Corrs, Kool & The Gang, HONNE, and BABYMONSTER at the Padang and Wharf stages. Ticketholders can look forward to another electrifying line-up of performances tonight with Lenny Kravitz and Thirty Seconds to Mars at the Zone 4 Padang Stage, Kylie Minogue and Tones & I at the Zone 1 Wharf Stage, as well as more than 100 performances throughout the Circuit Park.
